It should be noted that when you speed up, you are using the bounce of the stick (twice) on the drum head to create the double beat

So, the next rudiment that I would like to talk about is the Double Stroke Roll and that is just similar to the Single Stroke. But instead of going right to left, it is going to go right, right, left, left instead of right, left, right, left. It is right, right, left, left, right, right, left, left. And that will eventually turn into a roll and it is the single stroke roll to. It sounds a little bit different and I will demonstrate that.
