So, I showed you a little bit of the enhanced rock beat as I would like to call it. And now, we are going to moved into – I am actually planning a 16th note pattern on the hi hat. Before I would go into that though, around those enhanced beats again, those are just something to get you started with. Incorporate those 16th note fills in with that, hit some crashes, open the hi hat a little bit, play in the right symbol, do it in a lot of different ways just to enhance that playing a little bit. Again, that was just to get you started. Now, with that 16th note pattern that I am talking about, you can play it in two ways. You can play it with one hand or with two hands. So, I will play it with two hands first and then I will play it through using one hand. And again, that is 16th note. Remember that fill that I showed you? 4/4 measure that is going, one e and a two e and a three e and a four e and a… That is what we will be doing on the hi hat. I will play it through and again, we will have the bass drum on beats one and three on the snare on beats two and four. I would play it for you so that you can hear it and see what it is like.

So, that is with two hands. Now, I am going to play it through with using one hand.
Ready, one, two, three, four

All right. So now, what would like to do, I have showed it with two hands and one hand and just played the beat through and then do a 16th note fill, one measure using some dynamics, so I will go from soft to loud in the fill. And then, I will just mix it up and some 16th note fills using different drums and not staying on just one drum so you can see how to mix those 16th note fills there too.
Ready go

So, there are different ways were you can mix those 16th note fills up a little bit getting more acquainted with your drums and giving it a little bit of a different sound out of it.
