Now, I want to do some of the 16th note fills using the whole drum set. This is what it is important I think to start off with the five beats drum set. It just gets you more acquainted. I am going to go around and start with the higher pitch and going down to the lower pitch and then kind of move around on the set. That is what I would suggest to do. You will see as I play and demonstrate what to do, moving around on the drum set doing those 16th note fills. So, I will go ahead and start. Before I do that, just to mention something, it might help you remember in counting, when you are doing this, you would have already picked up a few counting with me. But always remember on this, this basic beat that the bass drum is on counts one and three always and the snare drums are in beats two and four. The one and three is usually called the down beat and beat two and four are usually called the up beat ___. So, I am going to go ahead and demonstrate now for you the 16th note fills around at the tops.
