How to Play Drums: Practice Beats

So believe or not, this beats are a lot easier to play than you might think because rather than thinking about the hands and feet work independently of each other, what I would like to do is see and feel how they work together. So here is an example of how I learned to play the proceeding pattern, so notice that on the 1st note which is beat one, the right foot plays the bass drum and the heel of the left foot plays the cow bell (cow bell sample beat), so that on the 2nd note which is the end of beat one, the right hand plays the floor tom (floor tom sample beat). On the 3rd note which is the aw of beat one, the left hand plays the open high hat (high hat sample beat). On the 4th note which is beat two, the left hand plays the snare (snare sample beat). Here is the 1st part of the pattern which is counted 1 and a 2, I will start really slow and I will gradually work it up to speed (drums playing increase speed). If you keep following this one note at a time approach, you will be able to play the entire pattern before you know it and then once you have a good foundation how the hands and feet work together, the next step would be to set a metronome and make sure that you can play it real steady. And then, once you can do that you want to make sure that the beats have a really good feel to them and the best way to know that the feel is accurate is to make sure that the base and the snare drum during this after beat has the same intensity that it did during the before beat.
