Hi, there and welcome to another one of my easy to play lessons. And today, I am going to show you how to play my wonderful Bette Midler song, it called From a Distance, okay. I just go through the opening first and then, I show you how to do that part, okay.
[Demonstration]
Okay, so that is the opening of the song. We are going to be using the same chords we use in our other videos which are mainly your C, find your C for every second note that is your Brad spread we call it. As your C chord, we are going to use in F in it and we are going to use a G in it, okay.
It is also when Am it to which is the same spread as the other ones but it is actually a minor chord, okay. And to the song where you going to find that sometimes where I can play whole chord and be might just play we used to or any combination of this for.
So, I will leave it up to you the figure wished one do you more apply to like a sound the best for you, okay. I go -- sometimes I do chorus, sometimes I do two notes, sometimes I just go like this you know as long as you are doing something with this four notes, okay.
You basically in the right chord, okay. So, right starting up with the right hand, it starts up here on this the E note here.
[Demonstration]
And then, we are going to rock this back for it. Down to your G first
[Demonstration]
Okay, let us do that again.
[Demonstration]
The second time through of course the 2:45, okay. Let us put it some chords on there at your left hand. We are going to use, we are going to start of with the C, okay. And here we are going to use first chord.
I am using two fingers here you could see, you can use that if you want, you can use that if you want several. Here look experiment what you could like best, okay.
[Demonstration]
Going up to an F, back to the C, to a G and that time. I am using this G note what I am also having the seventh in here too, okay. So, that we are doing this, okay. But if you want you just do the right or G that way. Do it with that way, okay. Start over again on the section.
[Demonstration]
C chord, back to an F, back to a C, and I play it twice.
[Demonstration]
And then end with a C. And now, you see go to an F, back to a C, so that when you are playing anything up here. I am just using down here as my base. Playing a chord of it to which to gives you a nice fret, okay. Now, we move in to the main melody, okay. now I already start of like this.
[Demonstration]
Okay. And starting of with your G chord up here or your g note up here. And we are going to use a C chord. I will do that to the chords in a step, okay. And with your right hand here down to your C, right up to the top C.
[Demonstration]
Okay. We will do that again without the chord, okay. Starting here in your G note, okay.
[Demonstration]
Okay. Put a chord with it when use a C, F,
[Demonstration]
G back to a C, F,
[Demonstration]
And use of G this way, okay. So, you right there and keep going put your or use your left finger down here on this F and play an F chord here.
[Demonstration]
And drop your left hand down to the C and go down to a C chord, okay. C ended up like that.
Next we have finish up the line, okay. So, starting that section over again. C chord, F, G, and a C, an F, G, and a C. Now, your F and down to a C note down here, C chord up here, okay.
Let us do it one more time. C chord, F, G, C, F chord, G, C, down to your F, and the C, okay. And then, you play that through twice, okay.
