Drill #4: Tee Drill
When I first started out practicing putting, especially on a putting green that might be crowded and all the holes are taken, I always put a tee down in the ground. I always want to start practicing at a much smaller object than the cup.
So I make some nice, short touch here right at the tee, getting a picture of using my stroke. When I do hit the tee, I know, “Boy! That would be in the middle of the cup”.
This is a great drill at a very small object. Putting at a smaller object, just like this tee, will really help you build up your confidence when you go putt at a hole. This is a great confidence builder. See how many times you can hit the tee.
Putting pointers for the Tee Drill
Always begin your putting practice at a much smaller object than the cup. Hitting a smaller object will help to develop greater putting confidence.
