All right, we have our E-chord down, going over the A-chord and remember you can always visit iconsofrock.com to down load printable versions of the tablature that you see on the screen. The A major chord is a chord that we play five strings; we leave the six string the low E out completely we do not play that at all. The root note is our fifth string which is A, now what we want to do is put our second finger on the second fret of the fourth string. Our third finger on the second fret of the third string, our fourth finger on the second fret of the second string and we leave the first string the high E open.
There is a lot of different variations to play this A-chord the main thing to remember is that the fourth, the third and the second string all have even pressure along the second fret, all right? So here we have A-major. Now the switch to our A-major to A-minor we want to lift up our fourth finger and apply pressure with our first finger on the first fret of the second string. Here is A-minor. And the switch from minor to seventh in the A-chord we lift up our third finger move it down the string, we apply pressure on the second fret of the second string with our third finger.
Our first finger, we can actually lift up after we can leave it down either way. Basically we have our fifth string open, our fourth string we have our second finger on the second fret. Third string we have open, the second string with our third finger on the second fret and then the first string we leave open. Here we go, with A-seventh. So let us go back to A-major, lift up our pinky or the first finger on the first fret of the second string, A-minor. Lift up our third finger move it down to the second fret of the second string, your A-seventh. A-major, A-seventh.
