Now you know the five most popular chords, E, A, D, G, and C. I would like to show you the last two chords, B and F and then we will move on to our first scale.
To build the B chord, we want to start with our second finger on the second fret of the fifth string. That is the root note B. We want our first finger on the first fret of the fourth string, and we want our third finger on the second fret of the first string. This is B. (Demonstration) We are only playing the first five strings.
To go from B Major to B Minor, we simply add our fourth finger to the third fret of the second string. Then we remove our first finger. This is B Minor. (Demonstration)
To change from B Minor to B seventh, we leave our first two fingers in the original position. We change our third and fourth finger. We put our third finger on the second fret, our fourth finger on the second string. This is the B seventh. (Demonstration)
