How to Play Guitar Chords for AC/DC
Hey everybody! Welcome back, I’m Neal Walter, your host for the Guitar Tricks Channel. I got a new lesson for you and a tip of the week and all that good stuff in between. The lesson is on easy chord changes for beginner to an immediate that you cracking and some D G and A chord changes leave in to on a bonus E for you. Tip of the week. That’s right getting a B for your tone out of your guitar without having to buy a new app. You can put on heavier gauge strings that means thicker. Out of the 52 to my low, it used be a 42. This will give your chunkier rhythm chords and you can still keep the same gauge on the top strings so, it doesn’t affect your E playing.
On our lesson of the week, I’ll show you how to do E-C-D-G and E chords. This is for beginners, acoustic or electric. Check it out. I’m going to show you an easy way to play those chords. To all AC/DC fans this will come in really handy. Start at the D chord, I’m going to put the first finger on the second fret of the G string, third finger on the third for the B string.
The string is going to be muted by this finger right here and then you’re going to mute these two strings. Put your thumb just touching a string. You don’t have to press down and then you can strike with full force, so that’s a D. Now we get to the G, just lift up this finger right here, G. That’s easy, if you want to go to the A. you lift your thumb up. You want to keep muting the E but you just put your first finger down on these two notes, D and G string. Put your thumb mute by here so now you’ve got.
The easy version of the D chord but it sounds cool. Put the storage in and or even cleaned up on acoustic guitar or clean sounds. It’s interesting to note that there is no minor or major because these are basically power chords. The one in the five in the note of the chord that you can play on whether to make your own mind. It’s a great way to get you started and it’s pretty easy to do. So, you can be up and running and playing some of your favorite song right away. Hopefully this helps you out.
