How to Play Italian Card Games

Hey! Welcome to Watchmojo.com I am your host Melissa and today I am going to teach you a little bit about Italian Cards. Now the first thing everyone knows about these cards is they are completely different from the normal cards that we are use to. You will also know that there is less cards on the table. So you will notice that this four suites of ten cards instead of the 13 that we are use to with traditional English cards. The swords are called The Spade, the gold coins are called The Dinari, we have the clubs which are called The Bastoni and the last one the cups which are called The Chope.

You will notice that we have the Ace until the seven along with suites then after that we have three special cards, we have LA DONNA which is usually worth 8 points, then we have IL CAVALLO which is usually worth 9 points and lastly we had the king which is called IL RE which is 10 points. Now of course you can play a typical black jack or poker with these cards but there is plenty of regional Italian games that you could play.

You could play Scopa, Briscola, Tressette, and even Napolitane too. So now that you have the basics you can always pick up your own pack of Italian Cards and Italian grocery, enjoy it.
