Jam number two is in the key of E major so let us go check it out with the band and we will come back and break down the runs slowly.
Our next run is an E major. There will be four parts to this. The first part is we are going to learn sounds like this. So, this is a pedal tone idea which means we are going to keep going back to the first note which is E. This can be found on the 12th fret of the high E string and then we are going to follow that E with the 16th fret of B string and note E is flat back to the E and then to the 14th fret of the B string back to the E and then the 12th fret of the B string. So far we have done this. Now, back to the E and then 14 on the G. Back to the E and then 13th on the G. Back to the E and then 14th on the G, B and then 13th on the G, E 16th on the D, back to the E and then we finally end on 14th on the D.
So, that will be part of our first four parts for this. Now the second part of this run will be exactly the same. Add just a little bit at the end. Here is what the second part of this run sounds like. This is exactly the same as the first run that we did but here is what we are going to add. Just this little bit at the end. Starting with the 12th fret of the high E string, 16 on the D, back to 12 on the high E, 13 on the G, back to 12 on the high E and then we end 14 on the D. So, we added six more notes. So, if we put this together, here is what the second part of this run sounds like.
Okay, now here is the third part of the run. So, I am going to start of on the 12th fret of the high E string that note is E. We will keep referring back to this E and then play 16 on the B, 12E, 14B, 12E, 12B, 12E, 14G, 12E, 13G, 12E back to 14G, 12E, 13G. Here is what we have done so far. Continue it on 12E, 16B, 12E, 14B, 12E, 12B, 12E, 14E, 12B, 16E, 12B, 14E, 12B, and finally end on 12E.
So, here is the third part of this run. And then the fourth part is the exact same as the same part. So, if we put everything together, here is the entire run, one, two, three, four, two, three, four, three, , four. Okay and there is jam number two.
