(Music Playing) All right, now we start having some fun. We are going to discuss bends on the guitar and the bends in rock and roll are what make every guitar player a little different. I can tell all the times who are guitar player are, by the way he bends on note. Now when you bend the note, the first thing to remember is you are not just bending. You have to be bending towards or something. You are generally bending from one note to another. Sometimes you will just you will bend like a crazy man (Music Playing) and it really does not matter.
But to show you what I mean, now, first of all, a couple of things about bends, you are going to bending with different fingers at different times depending on the combination of fingers that you are going to be using after the bend. What you want to do is fret the note and then generally you are going to bend towards you rather than away from you. Sometimes you bend away from you for a fact but just take the string and bend it a little bit (Music Playing).
Okay, the first thing you are going to feel is your fingernail and your fingers beginning to pull away from each other and say, I do not like this route, guess what, you just have to keep doing it just like your calluses on your fingers when you first started playing the guitar, it becomes easier with time. You will develop more muscle strength; bend that note again (Music Playing) just a little bit. Now, you noticed that when you bend you are hitting the next string; there is no way to avoid that. So what you do is you bend and when you hit that next string, just kind of what the flesh on your finger-muted monsters (Music Playing) see that? (Music Playing) So, I am just kind of waiting that happen, just Iām waiting that finger mute the next string up.
