How to Play “Let It Be” on a Guitar
Hey, Rhythm Strummers. Here is a really easy way to play this tune.
[Demonstration]
Let’s take a look at the strum pattern diagram we have here. Our special creation here at RhythmStummer.com, we’ve got these down arrows and let’s see. A few of them have letter B’s over them and that means to emphasize bass strings. And if you’re really accurate you can emphasize one single bass string which would be the root of the chords, in this case a C, a G, an A or an F.
But if you’re not so accurate like I am sometimes, then you would just emphasize bass strings that are kind of in that neighborhood. So what you’re seeing here is down strokes and then after every fourth down stroke there is an up arrow, so that’s going to be a rhythm that sounds like this.
[Demonstration]
Let’s try it on the C chord. This is a pattern that will come in handy for a lot of different songs, so it will sound like this on the C chord.
[Demonstration]
Okay, now let’s try on a G chord.
[Demonstration]
Let’s do it on A minor chord.
[Demonstration]
And the F chord.
[Demonstration]
And now let’s put all those together I’ll play it once through and then I’ll stop and then we’ll do it together a bunch of times.
[Demonstration]
To the G, to the A minor, to the F, back to the C, I said I was going to play it once but then I’ll play it twice. But now let’s do it together a bunch of times, on the C.
[Demonstration]
C, G, A minor, F, C, G, A minor, F, a few more times, one more time. So, come join us here at RhythmStrummer.com and we’ll teach a whole lot more about how to play the tune “Let it be”.
