How to Play “Michelle” on a Guitar
Hey, Rhythm strummers. We can only show you about 30 seconds of that song, so I’ll save some of that for later. But now I’ll show you some chords that were great with that song, and a whole bunch of others.
Alright, let’s start with those chords. First chord you want to know is the C sharp diminished, full of tension, B7 and B flat diminished. And now, I’d like to show you the strum pattern we’re going to be using. If you look at it, it has four down arrows. The first one and the third one have a big B on top which stands for bass note. So you play a bass note down stroke of your pick and then beats two and four have darker arrows, in bold which means you’ll play those little harder, and those are both down strokes as well.
So each time I'm playing these chords, I’ll be playing the fifth string for my bass note, but you just hit any low string that you want or if you can hit that string that sounds the best. Let’s try doing it together now. Let’s do one chord per strum pattern.
