For a music lover, nothing compares with the feeling you get when you have a multitude of song choice is at your fingertips. With your iPod, you can play any song you want at any time. Or you can create a mix of your favorite songs by shuffling them.
Playing a song on your iPod Classic or Nano is simple, so as setting the playback options such as repeat and shuffle. Scroll through the song list on your iPod until you see the song you want to hear. To play the song, press Select or Play. When the song ends, the iPod plays the next song in the list. While a song is playing, the artist name and song title appear. Common playback controls include Play, Forward and Back. You can press the Forward and Back controls to skip between songs. Or you can press and hold them to fast-forward or rewind.
To set your iPod Classic or Nano to repeat a single song, locate and play the song you want to repeat. While the song plays, press the Menu button repeatedly until you return to the main menu then choose Settings. Scroll the Settings menu until repeat is highlighted. To repeat one song, press Select once. The offsetting changes to one. To repeat all the songs in an album or playlist, press Select again. The one setting changes to all. You can shuffle song playback to play your music in random order. From the main menu, choose Shuffle Songs. Your iPod then randomly plays your songs until it is exhausted every song in your library.
To shuffle the songs for an entire album or playlist, locate and play a song in that album or playlist. While the song plays, press the Menu button repeatedly to return to the main menu and then choose settings. Scroll through the Settings menu until Shuffle is highlighted. Press Select Once, the offsetting changes to Songs. Press it a second time to play an album.
