Hey guys, what’s up? It's Aaron Gallier from Freeandeasyguitar.com. This lesson right here is going to be on the son called, “Only you can love me this way” by Keith Urban. Send you new keys and it's a great song. It has a really lyrics that it sounds really difficult and don’t let it scare you away because I’m going to teach it to you right now. I ain’t going to say were off the bet. This song is normally when Keith plays it and play the drum beat tuning, okay so your G ch chord will look like this. So if you see him playing G chord like this or you see him play the chord like this in his video, his in 00:33 tuning, okay. That’s the G chord if you’re in Drop D because this note G here, the G chord and you lower the string to the D, that’s what drop D tuning is. It has a raise the note up two frets to compensate, alright. So, standard tunings, I’m going to teach. It goes something like this.
[Demonstration]
Okay, it's basically that’s the whole concept so what I’m going to teach you is, the first we’re going to do is your going to play a G chord for a couple of strums, okay like just play like this.
[Demonstration]
Okay so, down, down, up, down, down, up, up down, up, down, down, up, okay switch to the D and play down, down, up, down, okay. So in that D is down, down, up, down then you’re going to pick your fingers up and you’re going to take your ring or pinky and you’re going to put those two finger on the second fret of your second and third strings up. So your ring finger is under your G-string, pinky is on the second fret, okay. You know, just try and focus in the bottom three strings or the G and B if you can do that. I’ll just play the bottom three. 1:59.
Okay, so you’ll start on the second fret and you’re going to strum those down and slide them up those strings. 2:07 the strings, you just press that hard and slide them up to the seventh fret, okay. It sounds like this and it's going sound 2:17 this overall. I’ll slow it real slow.
[Demonstration]
One more time with that real slow. Second and third strings, second fret use your fingers. Seventh fret, okay so up, down. Okay, now after you do that first set down, what your going to do is your going to put your middle finger down n right on the sixth fret of your G-string. So what the string that your ring finger is on, take it off and you’re noticing this right now behind it. You can lift your pinky off and your pointer finger is going to go on that B-string fifth fret. You’re going to play it down, up—your going to side two frets, so your middle finger is now on the fourth fret of your G-string and your pointer fingers now in the third fret and your B-string, down, up and then your going to slide both these fingers down, up. These last two chords, they’ve been separated by single fret or the third or fourth up your fifth and sixth. When you play this last one, you wanted to both be on the second fret, okay. so when you slide down and your pointer finger is going to stop and your middle is going to catch up with it so your back where you started and you play down, up and then you go back to your G Chord. Like that, one more time—slide. It's one pick down. You pick down, pick and bust this string, slide some fret up and you put your fingers down, the fifth and the sixth fret, down, up. The third and fourth fret, down, up. Second, second off back in the G.
[Demonstration]
Okay, so that’s 4:44 for the intro thing and the tabs here as well. Reverse, well, there’s a reason I always 4:50, we are meant to be together and I’ll just play it real quick.
[Demonstration]
And then it goes that why—5:26. I used to spend it and then—that’s with A to spend the chord if he does all over off again.
[Demonstration]
Okay, I think it's a little bit different what I just played in the real song but you’ll get the point. You know in the chorus, that your always in my part—G—[Demonstration] when it all comes to much—the first I heard it, I’m not going to sing. You’re never far behind and I’m just playing down. So the start pattern playing for these chords is, [Demonstration]. I write it down if I got in trouble following them. The other chorus, and there’s no one that comes close— Am 6:47 because ever—F#m, take your place—E Chord because only you can 6:55 me this way. Okay, then that’s really the whole song. Its jus t the repeat and the things that we just talked about so I hope that lesson helped. Remember, do it really slow and start in your G chord to D chord then slowly—[Demonstration] and you’ll get a retouch so just working in it.
