Hello, I’m Dan Sindel and welcome to EZGTR online video guitar lessons, and as an introduction, because this is our first session, I’d like to talk to you about how to perform Pachebel’s Canon in D Major.
And just so you guys know, right off the back, this is not the Canon Rock. This is the actual piece composed by Johann Pachabel somewhere around the years 1680 originally intended for a screen quartet, and what this really is, this is my symphonic guitar arrangement where I’ve taken the score and I’ve recreated all the different parts using nothing about acoustic and electric guitar. And it’s my intention through these series of short video lessons to walk you guys through the song as well, note for note. So we have you jamming on the Canon as soon as possible as well.
So what I’d like you to do is go to www.ezgtr.com I’d like you to sign up for the newsletter real quick, I’ll send you a link to download the eBook. And what the eBook is, it’s an actual tab notated version of the song that I’ve especially created for you to help you get through these video lessons. And before we get started, I’d like to take the time to thank my sponsors, GHS Rocktron for providing this awesome equipment. We got the velocity 100 stereo power amp and the Prophesy II Pre-Amp, and I have to tell you these things just rock and I’d also like to thank notion music for providing the progression software which allowed me to notate and tab the eBook for you guys.
Okay, so let’s get started shall we
