Part 1: Play Through & Preview
[Demonstration]
Great sing along tune here. The Eagles Peaceful Easy Feeling 1971 I think oh okay it
doesn’t matter that’s the point. The point is this is a great song that is very easy to strum
and sing with just a couple little tips of what to do in it. It’s in the key of E and when
you’re in the key of E that means you’re probably going to have a couple of bar chords
and this one does so you got to be able to play E chord number 1 in the key of A, chord
number 4 in the key, and B.
Now there’s a bunch of different ways you can play B but the way I like the B here is the
double bar version. A bar at the 2nd fret and an A shape of a chord at the 4th fret, 2nd, 3rd,
and 4th strings, you can play it I’ve got all kinds of other videos that explain about you
know some of the possible ways of playing that chord. You could of course play it as a
bar on the 7th fret out of the E shapes and in a pinch you could play a B7 chord in all of
the spots in Peaceful Easy Feeling where the beats occur.
Now the reason you can do B7s there is because B chord 5 in this key and pretty much
any time you’re on chord 5 it can be modified or it stand into being a 7th chord rather than
just getting a straight major chord.
