Okay, now, try playing C seven again. But this time, flat the third which is A to E flat to make in a minor chord. We touched on C minor earlier, but it really sounds nice with the minor seventh in the chord (Piano playing). This creates the chord C minor seven, sounds a very different mood to the major chord, (Piano playing). Let us a play a similar one, four, five sequence to the one you just worked on, but flat the third of each chord in the sequence you play, C minor seven (Piano playing). Play the chord with your left hand, hold it down, let it ring (Piano playing), let it breath and play the blues scale with your right hand in between chords (Piano playing). Then for the fourth chord, F minor seven with the flat (Piano playing). Back to the C minor seven (Piano playing).
Let us go back to the fourth chord again, to F minor seven (Piano playing), back to the one chord (Piano playing). Now the five chord, G minor seven (Piano playing). Down the four chord F minor seven (Piano playing) then the turn around G minor seven (Piano playing), and begin the sequence all over again as many times as you want (Piano playing).
Practice this for a while and try substituting G seven instead of G minor seven for the turn around in the last five chord and get (Piano playing). So here, instead of G minor seven play it flat straight G seven.
When you get to the four chord of a one, four, five blues sequence, try playing a one minor with your right hand, and the four chord root note on the bass with your left (piano playing). So, here it comes, instead of an F so switch to C minor with your right hand (piano playing) Creates a nine chord. I will show you again, if you are in the C major (piano playing) the minor scale works too (piano playing). So when you get to the four chord, play the F in the bass note and switch to minor C (piano playing) and this creates F nine (Piano playing).
