So, let us work on the one, four, five sequence on the key of C. (Piano playing) in the key of C, the one chord, will have C as the root note. (Piano playing) Count up four notes in the C major scale: one, two, three, four, and you count to the F which is the fourth chord. (Piano playing) and count up five notes in the C scale and you end on G which is the five chord, one, two, three, four, five. (Piano playing) The chord is a five chord because it is five notes up. For the exercise home, let us .make all the chords in the one, four, five sequence, dominant seventh, or flat seventh of chords (Piano playing) which again, you get by flattening the seventh note in the scale. (Piano playing)
So, in the key of C, let us start with C seven chord we have learned a few minutes ago. (Piano playing) it was just like. Do not worry about the rhythm and bar count for now. Just play the chord is sequence and let it hang while you play the C blue scale with your right hand. (Piano playing) Okay, stop by playing a C chord with your left hand and let it hang. Play the blue scale up or down with your right. (Piano playing)
I will give you the blues scale chart again for reference. Here it is. (Piano playing) And even your left would then play with the left hand. Play the four chord which is the F. (Piano playing) Numbers cuff out by counting up four notes to F. (Piano playing) Continue playing the C blues scale with your right hand. (Piano playing)
That is the C seven, one chord. Continue playing the blues scale. Then G seven which is the five chord. (Piano playing) Here is the chord chart from G seven. (Piano playing)
Now, play F seven again, which is the four chord. (Piano playing)It is as same as here C seven just playing and I want you to go. Continue the blues scale and find me the one chord again C seven. (Piano playing) You can sometimes play the five chord again. G seven, sort of a turn around back into the one, or just tab the one. Some people use it and some people do not. (Piano playing) and kind of like you just by not playing with turn around five. Just keep it going. (Piano playing) and you begin the sequence all over again, practice the one, four, five sequence until you are recently comfortable in it. Later, you can begin working out your favorite blues or rock mix with your right hand using the notes in the blues scale. (Piano playing)
Again, your note is any combination of notes in the blues scale, works with the chords of this sequence. (Piano playing)
