Hi there welcome everyone to another one of my easy to play lessons. Today I am going to show you a nice easy way of playing Richard Marx song called Right Here Waiting for You.
It is quite easy, I have put it in the key of C for you, parts of it are actually repetitive, so once you have learned it the first time the second part where you go through it again you do not have to learn it. So it should not take you too long to learn this song, okay I am going to go through the first part, first and then we will break it down and show you how to play it, here we go.

Okay that is the first part. Okay, so we will start off here in our right hand right up here in this G note, nice a slowly this is the melody line for it. See piano players rather say “oops” doctors are not allowed to say those, okay let us go through that one more time here, we are up to the G here. And then we are going to do the same thing down to this G and starting here, again.

So, let us put some left hand with that, first thing if you remember in all our other videos we have been using our C chord like this and our F chord and our G, I hope everybody has got all those down on a pad.
So, this song though we are going to play the chord but we are going to do an individual on notes and we are going to use this of the same spread all away through the song though okay. So take your C, forget about this finger now, just play the G up here, up to four notes, and then go up to the top up C here. So you have got a C, s G and a C.
And in between them, we got three notes here, two notes here, okay. So practice that with a little bit with you left hand get used to doing it because you will need it for this song. And I you do the same thing now move up one to a D, keep the same spread. Let us go right up to the G, the G being your little finger that I am calling out here, keep your same spread there. And let us go up one more to an A, each one of them has been the same spread all the way through.
How does the right hand go with that, let us see. Right up here on your G, start off right by playing those three, let us go up to a G, up one more to an A, down to your D up to your G and back to your C. We are moving around there. Let us go through it nice and slow once again. And the nice part is, is the second section that we are going to learn is identical just played in the different part of the keyboard. Start up here in your G, okay those are your three notes and your C up to your G, your A, down to your D, up to your G and back to your C.
Okay, and for the second time through we start up here the first time. The second time through come down to this G here, down one full octave. It is basically the same but where we play our chord is in a different section of the piano, it is a little lower okay. So starting here, down to a G this time, up to an A, down to a D up to your G and up to your C. Okay, let us go through that again, so your C here, down to the G, up to your A, down to your D, up to your G and finish on your C.
Let us go through the first and the second parts together now before we go on to the chorus okay. Starting with out C down here and going up to this G this time, okay ready, up to your G, A, D, G, and your C. Second time through start here, down to your G, up one to your A, down to your D, up to your G and finish on your C.
So everything we have done with our left hand is always that same spread no matter what chord we are playing and they are always on the same spread, that is the easy way to remember that. And the first time through we have played the melody up here, the second time through we played the same thing down here.
So that is the first half of the song then we will move in to the second video for the rest of it.
