Hi! I’m Nate Savage from guitarlessons.com. And then in this lesson, I’m going to teach you the main riff from “Rock You like a Hurricane” by the Scorpions. Now, if you just learned your power chords, this is a really good song to learn because that’s all it is as moving around your power chords and put a rhythm with it with your right hand.
So let me play it for you really quick then we’ll break it down and I’ll show you how to do slowly [Demonstration].
So let me break this down for you and show you what power chords I’m using with my right hand. I’m going to start off by grabbing an E power chord on the 7th fret of your A string. You should hit that note, that power chord three times, then come down to a G power chord on the 3rd fret of your sixth string and hit that twice, slide up to an A power chord, with your index finger on the 5th fret. Then, come over to the C power chord with your index finger on your A string, on the 3rd fret. Hit that once, slide up to the 5th fret with your index finger on the A string and hit that twice.
So slowly, that whole sequence is this right here [Demonstration].
So play around with that and it’s a good exercise for your left hand, take a strength in that up and it’s also great to learn how to move your power chords around [Demonstration]
