All right gang, this is a video where I am going to show you how to play Seventeen Forever by Metro Station. This song is easily transferred to the acoustic guitar if you know what to do. There is a video support for this at www.yourguitarsage.com to tell you about how to use Kepos and open chords and all that good stuff. And by doing that, you actually will get a chart to this song along with hundreds of other. So, check it out at www.yourguitarsage.com. Without further ado, let us get into the song.
Okay, what we are going to do is Kepo. You know what is Kepo is? On your third fret, by doing this, we are going to transpose to change the keys everything into the key of C. You see me looking over here to the right. I am looking at sharp that I have done for this. I did the same chart that you could look at www.yourguitarsage.com. And, basically this song is A, G, F and C. The intro starts off – there is not an acoustic guitar playing but of course the chords and the notes and everything do represent a certain chords which is what we are going to cover today. So, the intro does something like this.
And then, the verse same thing except we want to give it a little movement. And so, along with the music it might sound something like this. So, that is a basic idea so if you take those basic chords A, G, F and C and follow the chart that I have provided, then you can easily play to escape the 3rd fret and basically your verse is going to be quarter notes. Actually, these are eight notes. And then, the chorus that kicks in it is C, G, A minor A minor. And that is pretty much it. I mean it is intro verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus and the bridge is C, C, A minor, A minor, C, C, A minor, A minor. All right, there you go.
