FAST LEG RUNS
Fast Leg Runs, here we're going to focus on our run technique. We want to keep good tall posture; start with the jog forward. On every fourth bounce, you're going to cycle a leg, knee up, heel up, toe up; drive the elbow back, keep good posture. This is an explosive firing mechanism that we need to teach that leg how to cycle and step down hard for good force.
Intermediate level, we want to exchange legs, we want to bounce forward, then do our right leg, and then switch on the next one, we're going to do the left leg.
Remember, you always have to have good posture, keep the head and chest up, suck in the belly button and tuck in the back for good solid core.
Now let's go to the advance level. Start by jogging forward. Now you're going to do two right legs, fast, fast; and now two left legs, fast, fast. This alternates that firing pattern, that tells the body to be random.
Sport is organized chaos, we have to teach the body to explode and respond whenever we want it to happen. Use a 10-15 yard distance; down and back is one repetition; do 3-5 repetitions of each drill.
