Alright guys, it’s Aaron here. This is kind a fourth part of the Tears in Heaven lesson. “Tears in Heaven” by Eric Clapton. This part, a lot of the videos that I have had previously, people have said, “Hey, you know, they’re a good lessons but I really like to see the whole song together so that, so that we can kind a follow along and put it all together. So what I’m going to do is kind a cover it. I might leave out a few lyrics as I’m going to try and tell you guys which parts where we start, and the part one and we’re going to part two then back to part one, part two and then part three. It has actually come to this part. Tom can be on you on this part. I’m going to give it a shot. It’s kind a high but I’ll give it a shot anyway. So, I hope it helps out and here we go…
(Singing) “Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven? Would you be the same if I saw you in heaven?”... You’re in for a part two here, “I must be strong and carry on because I know I don’t belong here in heaven.” Special part one “Would you hold my hand if I saw you in heaven? Would you help me stand if I saw you in heaven?” Part two. “I’ll find my way through night and day because I know I just can’t stay here in heaven.” Part three “Time can bend your knees… Time can break your heart, have you begging please… begging please..” Only guy in the solo, I just played the intro. Why in solo, I just…I just.. This is what Eric Clapton does. He just plays… He just plays the intro and the verse no more variation nothing really into it. He plays that the whole time through the solo. I think that’s where we’re back in. To part two. “Beyond that door, there’s peace I’m sure and I know they’ll be no more tears in heaven.” “Would you know my name…” Part one again. “If I saw you in heaven? Would it be the same if I saw you in heaven? Figure part two, “I must be strong and carry on coz I know I don’t belong here in heaven” This is part one “Coz I know I don’t belong here in heaven.”
At the last part I just had a bar across, like a D chord. I just went down from the D,G,B just to mess around but I really don’t know what to have these for. So, hope that lesson helps guys. Be sure to check out the web page, Freeandeasyguitar.com and Christmas day, it’s be coming out, so I hope this kind of “cover” type of thing helps you guys with having the song fits together and everything. But… Good luck and take care.
