All players on the team bat during each inning of play. The inning is over when a team bat through the batting order once.
A suggested time limit for T-ball games is 4 innings or 90 minutes.
The coach should make sure the hitting team sits off the first baseline and sits in their batting order.
The T-ball player should not actually touch the T to make any adjustments for height. Any adjustments that need to be made should done either by the coach or the umpire.
This next role is very important to remember: Only players, coaches, assistant coaches and umpires are allowed on the playing field before and during the game.
Coaches for the defensive team that maybe on the field to instruct defensive players but can not touch the ball once it is in play.
Coaches for the offensive team make it batting instructions but can not physically help the runner get to the base.
Coaches should ask umpires for time during pause in the action to show or explain to a player what needs to be done in certain situations.
Remember: The purpose of T-ball is for the players to have fun but also for them to learn correct baseball and softball fundamentals.
Keep in mind that no one including spectators, coaches, managers and players may argue with the umpire about a rule or a judgment call.
Keep in mind that umpires are usually volunteers that are there to help the kids have fun and learn the proper rules of fundamental of T-ball.
