For our second jam, we are going to continue with some two string arpeggios. So go ahead and check out the jam and then we will come back and break it down.
For our second jam, we are playing over the exact same chord progressions but we are playing some different shapes for these arpeggios. So we are going to start of with the E minor which looks like this. Where is the root note? That is what is important. Where is the root note? The root note is on the B string, 17th fret. So we are playing three notes E, G, and B. We have the 17th fret of the B string, then 15 and 19 on the high E. The whole shape will look like this. If we stretch up with our fourth finger from the note B, one fret to the note C and then also continue by playing 15 on the high E string, 17 on the B string that give us a C major shape, C, E, and G. The root note B and up here with the 4th finger.
Now for A minor, we are going to play 17 to 12 on the high E string, the root note B on the 17th fret of the high E, and then 13 on the B string. That is the E minor. This time, we are going to have the root note on the 12th fret of the high E. I am going to play 15, 12 on the high E, 12 on the B.
Now to C, 15, 12 on the high E and then the root note C is in the 13th fret of the B string. Now G has three notes, G, B, and D. We are going to play the root note G with the 4th finger on the 15th fret of the high E, back to ten on the high E, 12 on the B, back to our C shape. If I take this up two frets, I am playing D. So now, the D will be played on the 17th to the 14th fret on the high E and then the root note D is found on the 15th fret of the B string. And if I move this D up half step to E flat, then I am playing an E flat diminished arpeggio. So 17, 14 on the high E, 16 on the B and then I end the whole jam as we go back to an E minor chord with one of the notes from the E minor chord which is G. Okay, so here it is, one, two, three, four. Alright, so that is it for jam number two.
