So as far as the chord structure goes, like I said the verse is just C, A minor, to F, to G, okay. Focus all in your tab. So it’s C, to Am, to F, to G, All right. “This ain't Hollywood. This is a small town. I was a dreamer before you went and let me down.” That’s still C to A minor to F, G. And then the part right before the chorus, “Now it's too late for you and your white horse, to come around”, just play “Now it's too late”, Am, “For you and your white horse”, switch to F, “To come around” and you can go back into the C, to A minor, to F, to G, alright.
You can look at this tab over here. And it’s got the chords right above the lyrics, so you’ll know where to change, what chords go above what lyrics.
The chorus is the same chord progression, ok. About 99% of the song is Am to, or a C chord, to an Am chord, to a, F chord, to a G chord. You can play the other variations that you prefer but I recommend playing the ones that I taught at the beginning of this and learn the tab because that will actually help the song sound a lot more like Taylor Swifts.
The bridge, “And there you are on your knees begging for forgiveness, begging for me. Just like I always wanted but I'm so sorry”, alright. You’re going to play three times, you’re just going to play an Am to F. Ok you can strum [Demonstration]. It’s same strum pattern from earlier, third time, Am, F, “I'm so sorry.” I’m finishing that G or you can do finger picking part. You can actually finger pick this whole song if you wanted.
The only part other than that, that’s really different guys, is there is one Bb chord, ok. The Bb chord is actually at the bridge, “And there you are on your knees begging for forgiveness, begging for me. Just like I always wanted but I'm so sorry”. You can finish that with a G if you want. It sounds like this, I just told you G. You can also finish with a Bm. But that’s more difficult. If you know what barre chords are, you’re familiar with Bm. If you want to use it, go for it. If not, you can just stick to that G.
So, I’ll just throw on the tabs together right now. Place this video up. Hope it helps you guys and good luck learning to play it. And, thank you guys and enjoy this song, so checkout for freeandeasyguitar.com.
