Hi, I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about how to play “Working Man” by Rush and it is easy enough for beginner a guitar to learn. And Rush is also from Toronto, Canada. Okay. I will play it first and then I will show how it is played. So, it is like this.
[Demonstration]
So, first starts off an E power chord. So, you play the top string open.
[Demonstration]
You play the fifth string, II fret. And the fourth string, II fret, and that, you play it as a chord in this pattern.
[Demonstration]
Like that. And you slide up to the fifth string, V fret.
[Demonstration]
Then to the sixth string, V fret.
[Demonstration]
And back to the E power chord and play it the same way as before.
[Demonstration]
And to the V string III fret.
[Demonstration]
Then slide up to the V fret.
[Demonstration]
So that part again is like this.
[Demonstration]
Do that six times. You go to the four string, II fret.
[Demonstration]
And fifth string, II fret.
[Demonstration]
You play that four times like so.
[Demonstration]
Then you play the open fret on the fourth string.
[Demonstration]
The open fret on a fifth string. Okay. So,
[Demonstration]
So, open fret, fourth string.
[Demonstration]
Open fret, fifth string.
[Demonstration]
You do that four times, like so.
[Demonstration]
Ends to the sixth string, III fret and fifth string, V fret. You play that twice like.
[Demonstration]
Like that and slide up to the V fret on the top string.
[Demonstration]
And to the VII fret on the fifth string.
[Demonstration]
Then, open top string.
[Demonstration]
Open fifth string.
[Demonstration]
The fifth string, V fret.
[Demonstration]
Slide up to the VII fret.
[Demonstration]
So that part again like.
[Demonstration]
And that basically the whole song minus the guitar solo.
I hope this video has been helpful and thanks for watching.
