Hi, this is Andy James from licklibrary.com. In this tutorial, we are going to be looking at tapping arpeggio exercise that we are going to do in the key of E minor. So here is the lick. We are going to break it down. Okay, to start off this lick, we are going to have the 12th fret on the lower east string, pound one to the 15th fret on the lower E and then we are going to tap 19. We are going to skip over the A string and play 14, hammer on to 17 and then tap 21, so we have this. Then once we get up to 21 on the D, we are then going to pull off to 17, pull off to 14 then come back down the other arpeggio. We let that tap of 19 and pull off to 15 then pull off to 12 and then go back up, so we have this. Then we are going to repeat 14 to 17, 21 on the D and then skip over to the 12th fret on the high E string and play 12, 15 then tap 19 on the high. So far, we should have this.
Okay, when we get up to 19 on the high E string, we then are going to pull off to 15 and then 12 on the same string. We are going to play 21 on the D, pull off to 17, pull off to 14 then go back up. Okay, so we have this so the whole lick so far should look like this. Then we are going to slide from 12 to 15 on the high E string, hammer on 19 then tap 24, pull off from 19 to 15 on the high then we are going to have 17, pull off to 14 on the D, hammer on 17, tap 21 then pull off to 17, pull off to 14. Then we are going to skip back over the A string down to the lower E string and have 15 pull off to 12, hammer on to 15 and tap 19, pull off to 15, pull off to 12, tap 19 then pull off to 12 to finish off the lick. So the whole lick slow should sound like this. Okay and up to speed.
Okay, that is the end of the lesson today, thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed learning the lick. Until next time, I will see you later.
