My name is Diana Flesner and I currently live in Washington D.C. I’ve been playing cello for about 25 years and teaching for 12 of those years. I’m currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the University of Illinois, received my Masters from San Francisco conservatory and my Bachelors from Middlebury College in Vermont. I’m currently teaching at the International School of Music in Bethesda, Maryland and Harmonia School in Oakton, Virginia. Today, we’ll cover a number of topics ranging from sitting with the cello, left hand pizzicato, bow and a number of other things that will help you get started with the instrument.
