Hello, today we are here and know how to play the intro of Billy Joel’s “piano man”.
It is basically, it is a really easy intro. Would you not get it but the first part you play D7 in the left hand and then hold down the pedal (music playing- D, F, A, C)
We take your 3, 2 and 1 fingers in the left hand, play Ab, A and C: and then like a sound like this (music playing)
I forget what it is called but like, you do every note, after you do the Ab, A and C, you will G, Gb, F, A, Eb, D, Db and then C. Hit the pedal again, this time we are playing D, F, Ab and C.
So, so far we had these (music playing), I am sorry, my bad
And then the next chord you play is D, F, Ab and D(ph), that is it.
Then you will basically have the little short notes (music playing). It is Bb, E, C, you do that about 3 times and then you have sliding with the one and two fingers on the right hand and G, Ab, like to A. And then next for the last part of those intro, you will have, D, D# and A and doing a slide with these two fingers. And then you just set A and G. So these whole things should sound like this.
