Hi! I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about how to play the introduction from the “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns N’ Roses.
The intro can be broken down into four main riffs.
So, riff number one would be that part there. That would be starting on the 4th string 12th fret. Go to the 2nd string 15th fret and the 3rd string 14th fret, and to the 12th fret and go to the 1st string 15th fret with your pinky. And to the 3rd string 14th fret, and to the 14th fret 1st string play with your pinky again and to the 3rd string 14th fret that is the first riff. And you play it slowly it is --

And the second riff is almost the same where you start at the 4th string 14th fret then go to the 2nd string 15th fret and to the 3rd string 14th fret, 12th fret and to the 1st string 15th fret. Then to the 3rd string 14th fret and to the 1st string 14th fret, and to the 3rd string 14th fret, so riff number two is, I will play it slowly.

Then riff number three is bring up the same two but you start on the 12th fret on the 3rd string and go to the 15th fret on the 2nd string, then to the 14th fret on the 3rd string, 12th fret and again go to the 15th fret on the 1st string with your pinky. Then to the 3rd string 14th fret and to the 14th fret and first string and the 14th fret with the 3rd string, so riff number three played slowly is --

Riff number four is played at the very end of the intro, hence a little bit difference. Start on the 1st string 12th fret go the 3rd string 14th fret, then you hold your finger down on the 3rd string 14th fret note and go to the 15th fret with the 2nd string. 14th fret 3rd string, 1st string 12th fret, 3rd string 14th fret, 14th fret 1st string, 14th fret 3rd string, 15th fret 1st string, 14th on the 3rd, 12th fret 1st string back to the 14th on the 3rd then to the 2nd string 15th fret and back to the 14th on the 3rd again, so riff number four played slowly is --
[Guitar Demonstration]
So, once again I will go over the riffs again. Riff number 1, 2, 3, 4.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Now, for the intro you play the riffs in this order. You start off riff number 1, 1, riff number 2, 2, 3, 3, 1 and 1 and you play it again. Riff number 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 1, 1 and again. Number 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 then you end it and that is riff number four.
