[Demonstration]
Okay you will get a diminished lick, typically used in a neoclassical music. Where you will use this is if you have something like let’s say an A minor. Put down on that G-sharp. Any other combinations like you can see.
[Demonstration]
So any time that second chord also has that note in it.
[Demonstration]
Now, the tricky part of this is to get a lot of speed with this, what I do is either use economy pickings, so there is just spot where I got two down strokes, so it’s lot a hammer on as well.
[Demonstration]
So it’s two down strokes in a row. There is another one 7th fret to the 5th fret until next here.
[Demonstration]
So it's economy of motion, you’re just told down strokes if you think about what I’m doing. I’m not actually doing any up strokes in this case. It just allows me to get really minimal movements in less speed.
[Demonstration]
So I my trick is it falls from one string to the next. It’s not really to separate down strokes next to each other, not right there.
[Demonstration]
The other way you can do it is just -- what I do a little bit more nowadays is use my ring finger, three fingers, so right there plucking.
[Demonstration]
This is a down stroke with a pick and then I’ll pluck with the ring finger.
[Demonstration]
That’s all picks, economy picking. As I mentioned I just want to go over that again and get the A minor, then it goes to G-sharp to the base where might be the E7.
[Demonstration]
And same thing [Demonstration] so C, so give that a try and use that in your solos.
