Hey there little ones you guitar sage here. Today, we’re going to learn how to play the song Come and Feel the Noise originally by done by Slade and then later on by Quiet Riot. This is a killer tune that has a lot of changes in it. So a lot of chord movement but, we need not be scared I’ll walk you through it.
But those of you that can just watch what I’m doing here then great. For those of you that need more help then stick around much will put the book right now because this is a pretty fairly complex chart and I’m going to try to get through all these chords and how do you get to this strumming and all that stuff but I really have 10 minutes so I’m looking at my chart here on my screen but of course you’re not looking at it and you’re going to have to write down all this chords but if you go to your guitarsage.com and get the eBook that I’ve got on there, then I’ll also give you a user name and password to my charts, page online and you can grab those charts anytime you want as I’m teaching the lesson. Just put on your computer and you get it right there.
Okay, so here we go I’m looking at my chart and I jumped into it and stick around if you don’t get what I’m doing here. So it’s going to go something like this and part of my singing I won’t play the entire song through but I’ll play all the chord progressions. So there’s something that goes like this—
[Demonstration]
And let’s break that down, right this is a two basic chord progressions through this entire song. The verses are all the same and the chorus is eventually the same, really the chorus are all the same too so really we are looking only at two basic chord progressions here. Now, the end of the song we have a double chorus and there is also what we call a turn around in this song which is an after the second chorus and I think I might have been like a guitar solo or a little bit of a break or something and I have to listen to it again but, its real similar to— I'm going to tell you what, it’s the exact same as the intro. So really there’s three parts. Intro, verse and chorus, the turn around after the second chorus is also the same as the intro. Here we go here are the chords.
We got this basic chord progression that’s pretty prepped up to the whole thing and it’s going to go like this. G for two beats, D with an F# in the bass for two beats and so why I do this grab my D, bring my thumb around here and grab that F# some of you may not be able to play, it’s difficult specially for little hands, so it should be G,D, F# in the base Em for whole measure then we repeat that and then we got a C for two beats an Em7 with a B in the bass so Em is like that Em7 is like this and Em7 with the B on the base we take our thumb in and mute that low E string then an Am and then a G and you have that Am for two beats, G for two beats and then a D for two measures.
[Demonstration]
That intro and a chorus I want to start the intro and the turn around which is after the second chorus in this song are both that part both that chord progression. Here we go to the verse. The verse is going to go G four measure, Bm for measure, any difficulty with these chords too the eBook at your guitarsage.com will help you with that. So the B minor is in there and also G four measure this is the verse, B minor for measure Em for two measures and we really got this little walk down again from C, four measure, Em7 with the B in the bass for measure, A minor, the C is for two beats and the Em7 with a B is for two beats and not a measure. The A minor is for a whole measure and then you repeat that little beat again so C for two beats Em7 for two beats Am for a whole measure. Repeat those eight measures twice. Again I notice complex is what I tell you to look at the chart so your guitarsage.com so you repeat the whole beat twice then you’re going to end it with one whole measure of Em and then a whole measure of D so it’s going to go like this—
[Demonstration]
The chorus we got to hurry we’re eight minutes in and here’s our chorus and it’s going to go G for two beats, D with an F# for two beats, Em for a whole measure repeat that part again. Next line is going to go C is for two beats, Em7/B for two beats, A minor for a whole measure. Repeat that again. Then you repeat that first line again.
The more you go and do the same thing again just like the intro then the second line of the into which goes C, Em7 with an E on the base and Am, G and two measures of D so it’s going to go. Here we go and we got to do this quick.
[Demonstration]
