I'm sorry but your retarded, first off its not a hub cap, it a rim, but no matter, let look the other way on that, its a clear coated wheel! your not polishing anything, your cleaning the brake dust and filth off of it! If it was an aluminum or chrome wheel youd be buffing, your cleaning

How to Polish Subaru Wheel Rims Using Simichrome and a Buff Ball

Male Speaker: Today we will be using SimiChrome Polish and a buffing ball give shine car wheels. To clean this wheel we are going to use SimiChrome Polish, we just take it right out of the tube and I apply on my glove and the reason I do that is it just help such as spread it around and apply it evenly. And I am going to apply to a big section of the wheel so we can work on it all at once. And you can see that even as you put it down and just polish with your finger tip it's already working and lifting this dirt and corrosion from this hub cap. This hub cap is from a Subaru Tribeca and it's about three years old and it's ever been polished. And we are going to take a drill with a buffing wheel on it and just start the buffing, we will start slowly because we don't want to spit off the polish all over and also we are worked into the cracks and cervices that way. Did you know to set a slow speed how its right into the crack and tight areas and then we just go use normal speed and then just touch it up we will use a micro cloth, fiber cloth that we use here at the shop and that will just get you into all of the little crevices and cracks that the drill doesn't reach into well and you can just polish it out to a nice shine.
