Today, we'll be using Simichrome polish to polish a copper boiler. Using Simichrome polish, we are going to polish the top of this copper boiler, and all you do is, take it right from the tube and apply it to the top of the boiler. You see these often in houses and they were using it to stack wood, and in the course in the olden days, they used to boil them on an old wood stove and clean the laundry and things. Sometimes they use them as a still.
We used to put the polish on there and let it stay there for about five minutes or so and let it work. You could also apply this polish with an old T-shirt or a microfiber cloth, even steel wool if you wanted to high shine it. This is an antique so I am not going to try to get it too much of a hight shine to it but just I wanted to clean and I want to have a nice glow to it.
Another thing you can do is use a buffing ball. Using a buffing ball, you use that at a slow speed so it doesn't splatter the polish and then speed it up. And then the left over polish, you can just wipe off with your microfiber cloth. Make it shine that you were like. Now, if you'd like this to be bright copper, you certainly can get it very easily, just continue polishing until you get it to shine as you want because it will take it down to the original copper.
