Female: What supplies are recommended in a pet emergency kit for dogs?
Lesa: Well, your dogs will need, obviously a collar and a leash and we want them to make sure
that you have identification tags and most especially a rabies tag. The tag and or a rabies
certificate will indicate that the dog is current on its rabies vaccination and we wanna make sure
that every dog is current on that. And an emergency veterinarian, whoever you normally used,
that would be good information to have. Microchip information, if the dog is chipped. We also
recommend there’s a photo of the animal, a good photo of the animal, preferably with you and in
the photo as well, so that if we need to make a match at the end of the, at the end of the event that
we can do so. Dogs will also need, obviously food and water and their bowls to put that in. We
recommend plastic bags for pick up and also any toys and treats that the dogs like and bedding,
so that they are feeling as comfortable and as at home and have some familiar items with them.
