Hi, I'm Aisha Alvez with Picture Perfect Make-up and today I'm going to show you how do to ten-minute make-up for all day beauty.
Right now we’re going to prepare Theresa’s skin for her make-up application. Now preparing the skin is actually a really important step in your make-up application because it’s going to prep, hydrate and make sure that you're skin is prepared to be a perfect canvass for your make-up application.
So she’s got basically a bare face, she just washed it so she got nice, clean skin. Your first step is going to be to moisturize. You want to use a moisturizer that is appropriate for her skin type. She has pretty normal skin so I'm just going to use a basic oil-free fluid moisturizer that’s just going to hydrate and make sure that her skin is nice and smooth. And I'm just smoothing it all over the face. And it’s important to use the correct moisturizer because if you're dry and you use something that’s too light you're going to end up with flakiness on the skin and vice versa. If you're oily and you use that’s something too heavy you're going to end with too much of a shine to the skin.
Next, what we’re going to do is use some eye cream. Now eye cream of course is important because it’s going to hydrate the eye area and prepare your for your concealer. Again, same thing you want to use an eye cream that’s appropriate for your skin type because if you're eye cream is too rich or too oily it’s going to make your concealer slide off and creased during the day.
So if you look up. The best way to apply eye cream is to just dab it along the orbital bone and your orbital bone is this bone that kind of circles your eye socket. So you just tap and make sure it’s all absorbed into the skin.
Finally you want to prepare the lips. For the lips you want to just use a basic lip balm because it’s going to hydrate and make sure that you don’t have any creepiness or dryness on the lips when you apply your lip color. I'm just using a very basic lip balm you can use whatever you normally do. Some people like to do Chapstick or something a little bit more rich.
Can you just blot your lips together? Okay, so now, she’s got perfectly prepped skin and we’re ready for make-up.
