How to Prepare for a Hurricane

Hi, I'm Mark Tobert, I'm the NRM Director of Fernando County Emergency Management. This video is about how to prepare for hurricanes. This video is going to cover segments on how to evacuate your home in case of emergency. How to prepare a disaster supply kit? How to secure your home? And then if you evacuate what your plans going to be? I'm been on emergency management approximately 10 years. During that time of experience several hurricanes, several here locally in the County and then we were deployed to several other places outside of the State of Florida. As part of the Hernando Country Emergency Management Team, I'm also involved with State Activities including the Florida emergency preparedness association or FIPA which is a certification that all emergency managers in Florida should strive for the Florida Professional Emergency Manager Certification.
