Kateryna Spiwak: When I was observing Wanda, I saw a woman who is very friendly, light hearted but she was coming across somebody who was tense, nervous and really in need of some tips for the daily process.
Bruce: I bet you were just too picky.
Wanda: Yeah maybe I am.
Bruce: Then it was time to meet our expert, a dating coach.
Wanda: Oh!
Kateryna Spiwak: Bring those hands up on the table towards Bruce which says that you’re interested in talking to him and that you’re expressing warmth towards him.
I decide to do a bit of role playing with Bruce and Wanda.
Bruce: Wanda, have you seen any good movies lately?
Wanda: No, I haven’t.
Bruce: Nothing.
Wanda: Nothing.
Bruce: No movies?
Wanda: No movies.
Kateryna Spiwak: Okay, why don’t we stop right there.
He has to know our definite conversation killers and that’s—if he’s doing with Bruce.
So, you may not have seen any movies recently, so you say something like, “No, I haven’t seen any movies recently but I’ve gone out and done this.”
Normally, I would tell people to stay away from politics and from religion but in Wanda’s case I think it’s really important that she do talk about religion and spirituality because she’s a very spiritual person and that’s one of the core values.
Wanda: Born Again.
Bruce: Not Born Again, just born.
Kateryna Spiwak: Wanda and I can talk about dating forever but she’s got to get out and do it.
With 15 years of how to date for you I think it’s time to change that. We’re going to do something about that.
Wanda: You are.
Kateryna Spiwak: We’re going to set you up on a blind date.
Wanda: A blind date?
Kateryna Spiwak: A blind date.
Wanda: Alright.
Kateryna Spiwak: Wanda hasn’t dated in 15 years and I think that it’s a bit of a challenge. But she’s got a lot going for her including her great personality.
