I think the main thing, you should consider is weight control, make sure that you are not over weight, try to keep fit, aerobic conditioning, muscle strengthening exercises help protect our joints. And then the most difficult way to prevent joint problems is to prevent injury, because if you damage the joint surface cartilage or the ligaments that can lead to further problems in the future like arthritis.

Their may be some benefits from dietary supplements although it hasn't been scientifically proven yet. But many patients are taking Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulphate which may have an effect on cartilage of joint health.
