This is called the Self at Home IV stuff. Now, up when you are in the mountains of mean, help is very far away. So before you do any drinking or boozing it up as me and my friends are going to give you today. It's very important to establish IV access; because if you do not, help is too far away and you might need to hook yourself up to a banana bag. Alright, so here we go.
I have got some mood music on in the background and my friend is going down put this camera down for just a moment so that we can put a tunic around my arm, so stand by.
Alright, here we go. I can't believe I am doing this. Now, do not test this at home by yourself. I'm a trained professional, you need to keep some antiseptic, you need a sole (ph) sight here. In the meantime I am getting my needle ready, you just do a little spin, bevel up, always remember bevel up kids. And here we go. Ready one, two, three.
Up turn it please. Up turn it, please. Now, you need to check for blood return, of course, before you use this. We have got good blood return. Now, I am flushing, here we go with some tape, with my lovely assistant can you slip that up a little bit. Just slip up that -- here we go. Put it down please, assistant. This is called the Chevron method. Basically it looks like -- it is supposed to leave the C from the Chevron's motor wheel or tyres or something like that, I don't know. Be sure that this is scudding, but otherwise it leaks and makes a mess all over the place. And yes I am myself starting this. This is me. I am the IV master and I can say that with pride because once you start an IV on yourself that makes you like a -- basically like a master. We all know that Maine is like a mecca for boozing an IV start in. These things are so -- you need a bioclusive to protect the site.
Hang on I'll be right back.
It's always important to date your IV site. Dated IV should never be left in for more than three days. See today is 08.11.07. I need some more. I am going to get bigger. Alright, now we just watch the -- and once I find some tape around here, I will fix it and tape it, but now I have IV access so that I can drink all that I want to and later on when I am passing out, just suit myself up with some saline no hangovers. And that concludes today's lesson on self IV stuff and remember kids, don't try this at home. This is done by a trained professional.
