Okay, now, I want to introduce you to the tools and object pallet but I want to move this site window kind of out of the way here so I can get a better look at it. It is this pallet over here on the left hand side, the Tools and Objects Pallet. Why is it called tools and objects?
Well, because it has both. On the top, there are six buttons and these represents different tools. Now, these are not available right now because I do not have a document window or an HTML page open. However, I do have objects down here. Objects are simply representations of things that you are going to place onto your page. And there are a number of sets of objects here in this pallet.
You access them through this button here in the middle. You will notice that little tiny little triangle here in the lower right corner of the button. That is indicating that there are more options buried underneath that button. So, here we can see all the different sets of objects that belong in this pallet. You can move from one set to the other simply by selecting its name in the list. This is the form set, this is the smart set and so on.
Now, the Tools and Objects Pallet can be separated into two distinct pallets of there own. How do we do that? Well, you will see a button down in the lower left right here and if you cover over it, the tool tip will popup and it says separate tools and objects. Let us try it, should we?
Tada! Oh, look at that? We have our own objects pallet here and the sets of objects are now represented by buttons across the top of the objects pallet and the tools are in their own tiny pallet by themselves. And you can put this back together simply by moving over to the toggle orientation button again and giving it a click.
Walla!
