How to put up a shelf?
You need:
-to be awake
(It is the most important)
-an electric drill
-a hammer
-a screwdriver
-a ruler
-ankles adapted to your wall
-a spirit level (vertical and horizontal)
-a set square
-a metal detector
-spackle
-a tape measure
-and, of course, your shelf…
How to proceed?
The easy way
1. Take your phone
2. Call the installer, your father, the neighbor…Someone who was born with a hammer in hands.
3. Ask him to install the shelf.
And, that is it! You have finished!
It was so hard! ...
The hardest way, for the more courageous girls… Like you!
Are you ready? …Ok, go!
1. Choose the ankles adapted to your wall.
2. Thanks to the metal detector, verify that there is neither cable nor channeling of water of close gas behind the partition…
3. Draw on the wall the place of your future shelf using the spirit level…and mark the place of holes to be drilled.
4. Measure the length of ankles and…adapt in function the length of the drill’s bit.
5. Stick a piece of adhesive tape around the bit on this place, it will serve as mark to drill the wall.
6. With the drill and on adequate bit, drill small holes in the wall to fix ankles in the indicated places.
Suggestion:
Plan a lower diameter and widen with another bit if necessary.
7. Push ankles in the wall by using, if you need, the handle of a hammer.
Warning!
If the hole is too wide of if the wall crumbles, fill it with special spackle, then insert the ankle and let dry.
8. Fix set squares in the ankles with adapted screws.
9. Place tablets on set squares and make holes corresponding to the place of screws.
10. Finally, fix tablets with short screw.
Idea:
If a shelf tilts forwards, insert a piece of cardboard between the wall and the set square.
Ok girl! You have your shelf…
