Hey, what is up guys, Walt here, so people see a piano like this and they want to know how do they turn this sheet of music into being able to play it on this thing. Well that is my drawing. It is not well drawn but on this day or the other way around, how do I play it on here and then be able to write it down on a piece of music like this. All right, so that is what we are going to get to today. Real quick, pretty cool things happened this week. I am featured in Paragon music magazine this month and if you just type in Paragonmag.com, you will come to this foot front page here and here is the issue. Type O Negative, Temple Of Brutality, and bunch of cool bands and if you click right here, click to view this issue for free. Here it is. You have a PDF and if you scroll in, jump into line and let them know that you appreciate it.
Here is the piano. Here is my phenomenal drawing over here. All the C’s I have highlighted in green and all the major notes I have written down in red. Now you will notice that there are other notes that are written in purple. Those are just notes that are between everyone of the critical major notes that we refer to as natural notes. So now, going down here, we are going to allow this up here real quick. If you want this diagram, simply click on the link in the description to the right and that will bring you to my website and remember what we discussed phase at FACE? All you are doing here is that you are skipping all the lines, so before where you had your E-F-G-A-B-C-D-E-F, forget all the lines and then all the spaces are just FACE.
So now notice how this is a C right here. Well, all the C is here, I highlighted in green okay. And all the C is here in a piece of sheet music, I highlighted in green. This C right here is really just the same as this C right here. I really should have made blue now. I am thinking about it so that you can kind of compare it. It is all the same thing. If the song played this note on the piano, would you be able to find it or would you be able to write it on a piece of music. Absolutely, here we go, this C here is this C because it is in green and just go up C D E F. This F is this F okay, this C that I did not write the C but if I did, it would be this one. See how high that is and see how this is in the middle of the stuff and this is middle C here.
They get higher in pitch and like so, when your hand moves from left to right on the piano, the actual notes get higher so that is why your left hand plays bass and your right hand plays treble because the high notes are on the right and the low notes are on the left. So using music like this, that is why the blow notes are for the left hand and the high notes are for your right hand. So now, if you think about this C, this C by the way, I will just click on. This note is what you refer to as middle C and it is crazy to remember what it is called because it is literally in the middle of the two clefts. All the black notes are always going to be sharps and all the white notes are always going to be natural. That is just the way that the piano is built. It is quite easy once you get someone to kind of like show you the ropes I guess.
