Okay, let me do another string and then finally our sixth note.
The X means mute. So I am going to show it to you and then I am going to play it for you. So the strings on the guitar are E, A, D, G, B, A. So if I were to have this piece where you go one, two, xx3, zero, the way I will play this would be simply one, two, then this string you will just muffle it. The way that you muffle the string is you lightly put your hand over the string. So here is if I do not muffle it and here is if I muffle it.
So if I were to do this and it is all muffled, the way that I would do that is the same way that I had all these zeroes showing you when it was an open string. If I were to open those strings to be muffled, I will just write that. So if I were to play this, I will go like this. And if I were to play this one, two, xx3, zero, I would just go simply one, two, muffle-muffle, three, zero. So now like this, muffle, muffle, three, zero, one, two, muffle, muffle three, zero. And the way it is working is I am going first fret of the A which is right here guys. Second fret of the D which is right here, muffle, muffle, which I am just lightly going to put my finger over muffle, muffle and then I am going three zero. There you have it, three, zero. So one, two, muffle, muffle, three, zero, one, two, muffle, muffle three, zero.
All right, let us all just rock out to that for a minute. There is a question here and it goes, “I am 20, is it too late to play?” Orako, that is like the number one question that I get from people all the time. It is never too late to play and I will tell you exactly why. I and I swear, and I swear it is. I am a living example of this. I did not even start playing a guitar until I was 16. I did not really get it until I was 17 and then I just jumped into it headfirst into music school when I was 18. I literally went to a University when I was 18 barely to knowing that much stuff about a guitar. I mean like I knew a lot and I was teaching but like people here are clearly — such a higher caliber that me. But everyday, day in and day out, I practiced and I talk and I took lessons. I played gigs and I networked so everyday I was just playing just to catch up with people. Then I got to a point where after four years and I am 24 now, I have been doing it now for like eight years. And I just got it. So it is never, ever too late. In fact, it is so easy to start because it only takes you like three or four months seriously to get it. I mean three to four months, you can be jamming out on your chord.
Okay, so that is just like it. And all of it was those are just your simple chords G, E, A and then I threw in a couple of barre chords with a little tension F, F#, C. But I have always had a guitar. I just do not know where to go or where to get to learn. Okay, check it out. I just answered that question like half an hour ago. It is so easy to learn. You only have for the main part seven major chords. By the way guys, this is a recorded video. So if you have any questions, you refer back to the video if we are going too fast or you can hit me up in the chat.
All right, let me see what this says. “My old guitarist was like 40 or 50. He was really good and was playing for 17 years.” Yes! So like, here is a dude who started playing when he was like 30 or whatever and I am telling you man, there is only like a three month learning career and that is it. If you just take your basic course, A, B, C, D, E, F, and G, there is always seven basic chords in music. Of course, you can make them more difficult. You can make them like a G# major 7, add 13 or you can make it like in A minor 9 chord and maybe with like the sharp five in it or something. But these are all crazy chords that you do not really have to get through. These are jazz chords. So the way that I would do it is a great utility or great asset to have like a daily music show where any questions that you got, you can check out on the show. So like, I would definitely come into the show maybe a couple times a week or like a couple of times a month. Whenever you have a question, h
