Patsy is looking for a new wall color for her bathroom, and boy, if she have to challenge out of her. She has got a bathroom that is loaded with blue. She has got a blue tub, a blue toilet, blue countertop. Now this is limiting a little bit. Here are some options for Patsy.
Option number one which is going to give her a lot of freedom, and give a great look to the bathroom is to re-glaze that bathtub white, you can do that for under $250. Also replace the blue toilet with the white one. I know that can be done for under $100.
So if she wants to make that investment, it opens up a whole new world of opportunities as far as wall color goes. I'm going to go with a wall color that's actually going to work with the countertop that you has in the bathroom right now, and that is a nice soft blue. I also want her to paint the trim work along the baseboard as well as the crown molding, and when you have the soft blue of that countertop carried along all of the walls with the nice white bathroom fixtures, the bathroom is going to look quality, it's going to look fresh and it's going to have that wonderful accent that's coming out with the nice fifteen yard woodwork. That is her first option.
Second option, if Patsy does not want to invest in having the bathtub replaced and the toilet replaced, she needs to use her shower surround as the inspiration for the wall color. Just carry that wall color throughout the bathroom. Also changing out the baseboard to a white baseboard is really important, because once you have the light creamy wall, you do need some separation in between the wall and the floor, and a nice creamy baseboard is just the ticket.
One last thing that needs to be done for both of these options, is to take out the outdated yellow plexiglass above the sink in the bathroom. Nobody looks good in that yellow light. Popping it out and replacing with a clear piece of plexi, it's going to help give the bathroom a much brighter and lighter look.
