How To Beat The Rising gas Prices.
Welcome to The Discount Trendsetter Show. I am your hostess with the mostess, D. Gulley here to show you how to save money. Okay, I don’t know about you but am I the only one feeling that we are in a recession right now? Hey, I live in California and gas prices are almost $5.00 a gallon and I don’t know about you but it starting to step in to my shopping money. So I have come up with three simple ways to help you and myself cut our gas fills in half. So, are you ready? Are you listened—are you listening?
Okay, ladies and gentlemen. The number one thing on my two try list is to try carpooling and you can do the same. You know if you have a neighbor or a friend that works pretty much in a same facility as you, why not try carpooling? You know that way is two for one deal, maybe you drive one week, the next person drive the next week. In that way, you can kind of save and reserve your gas. So I am thinking about trying it, what about you?
Now if you’re like, ‘hmm, I don’t know my neighbors like that. I don’t want to get in the car with a stranger.’ I understand. You know sometimes you’re not so friendly. So the second thing that you can do to save money when it comes to gas is to try the public transportation. I know in most major city, there is a transport system or the public bus. So, why not try using these avenues to get to work on time and to save money.
I mean, look on the bright side, you can read on the bus, you can do you know, some research, you can return a phone calls. So you can utilize that time wisely as well as save money. So, I don’t know about you but these are two things that I am going to try this week to cut the gas fill in half.
It is now time for the Financial Tip of the Week. Stay tuned, I have more tips and more ways for you to save money and cut your gas bill in half. Stay tuned.
Financial Tip Of The Week
Do you know how to compute your monthly NET INCOME? (Revenue - Expenses)
Take your monthly income after taxes (Salary, Wages, Stipend, Commission) – subtract the total from your expenses (Mortgage, Rent, Utilities, Car Payment, Insurance) This total will equal your NET INCOME.
Before the break, I’ve mentioned two great ways to save money on your gas bill. Hey, we all can try carpooling. We all can try to do public transportation. But the last thing that we all really can do that would help us stay in shape and save money would be to try walking more. I mean, let us be realistic. I know even if I am going to the grocery store around the corner, I jump in my car. If I am going down the street to return some movies, I jump in my car. So why not leave the car park and try walking to these places that are especially close to you. I mean that way, you save money on gas and you would get your exercise and now that we are going into the summer months. Come on now, we all want the body to look right. So walking is one inexpensive way that will help you stay in shape and save money.
Well, this concludes today’s show. I am your host D. Gulley. Until next week, signing off. Peace.
