Welcome to GEEKcompNERD’s computer zone show. Please take note that if you have any questions, email me at support@geekcompnerds.tk.
Alright so in this tutorial, we’re going to be seeing how you can reduce the menu show delay on your machine. Now as you can see, when I hover over my icon it display almost instantly. And the old is obviously slower than this because the tweak hasn’t been applied.
So in order to apply it, go to start, run and type in regedit as you can see right there. The registry editor should open and what you’re going to do is navigate through HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then expand control panel and click desktop. Then scroll to the bottom until you find an item called “Menu Show Delay” and open that up. Your value data will be set to 400, now what you’re going to do is select it from 400 and make it zero. The 400 is what causes delay, hit okay, exit out of there, and restart your computer. Once the computer has restarted, your items should display as it do so right here.
That’s a quick tweak if you have any question as I’ve said before please email me at support@geekcompnerds.tk. Visit my website at geekcompnerd.tk and join in the forums at forums-geekcompnerd.tk. Please rate, comment and subscribe in order to support these videos and thank you for watching.
